The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of feeding and examination fees for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) across the country.
In a circular dated 5 June 2025, the GES confirmed that funds covering feeding from 1st to 30th April 2025 and examination fees for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year have been transferred to the respective accounts of all SHSs and SHTSs.
The letter, signed by the Acting Director-General of GES, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, instructed Regional Directors to inform school heads of the disbursement and to ensure that receipts confirming the transfer are submitted to the Director-General through their Regional Accountants.
“Senior High and Senior High Technical School Heads are reminded to send official receipt of the funds received to the Director-General, GES through their Regional Accountants,” the circular stated.
The move is expected to ease financial pressures on school administrations and ensure the smooth continuation of academic and welfare activities for students.
