Africa Action/Deutschland (aa/D), a German-based non-governmental organization, has reaffirmed its support for inclusive education in Ghana with a significant donation of 3,000 sign language supplementary readers.
The donation was made during a courtesy call on the Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis. The materials are intended to support special schools across the country, giving hearing-impaired students better access to learning resources.
Prof. Davis expressed heartfelt gratitude for the gesture and stressed the importance of collaborative partnerships in driving equity and inclusion in the education sector. “This support reflects a shared vision for a Ghana where no child is left behind,” he said.
Africa Action/Deutschland has a long history of contributing to Ghana’s education and healthcare sectors. This latest donation underscores its continued commitment to accessible and quality learning for all children, regardless of ability.
The organization noted that this is just one of many steps planned to strengthen educational support for marginalized groups in Ghana.
