Former T.I. AMASS Headmaster, Alhaji Yakub Bin Abubakr, Passes Away in Road Accident

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, along with Ghana’s education sector, is mourning the passing of Missionary Alhaji Yakub Bin Abubakr, former Headmaster of T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School (T.I. AMASS), Kumasi.

According to reports, Alhaji Yakub was involved in a serious motor accident along the Winneba–Cape Coast highway. He was placed on oxygen and received intensive medical care but sadly succumbed to his injuries. His death was confirmed earlier today.

Alhaji Yakub was a respected missionary and educator, widely regarded for his integrity, leadership, and years of dedicated service to education and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana. His contributions to moral and academic excellence at T.I. AMASS and beyond left a lasting impact on countless students, colleagues, and the broader community.

“This is a profound loss not only to his immediate family but also to the entire Ahmadiyya fraternity, the education community, and the nation at large,” one former colleague remarked.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, educational stakeholders, and members of the public have extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, while offering prayers for the departed soul.

May Almighty Allah grant him mercy, forgive his shortcomings, and admit him to Jannatul Firdaus. Further details on funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.
