In a bold prediction that’s stirred the football world, former England and Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello has backed Arsenal to beat Paris Saint Germain in their UEFA Champions League semi final showdown.
Speaking at the Laureus World Sports Awards, Capello praised Arsenal’s quality, balance, and physical dominance. “Arsenal have it all in terms of quality, balance, and good physical condition just like PSG. But I think Arsenal have something extra. They play together, they work together, and their tempo is very high. “If I had to bet, I’d pick Arsenal.”
Arsenal’s return to the Champions League semi-finals as their first time since 2009 has been nothing short of impressive. A commanding victory over Real Madrid has placed them in strong contention for the title under manager Mikel Arteta.
Despite PSG’s strength, featuring superstars and recent domestic dominance, Capello believes the Gunners’ hunger and cohesion may prove decisive. A win would put Arsenal in the final against either Barcelona or Inter Milan which will offer a shock as their first ever Champions League title.
