The Minister for Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, today chaired a high-level partnership dialogue on the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP) and its Second Additional Financing (AF2) at the Ministry of Education in Accra.
The meeting convened key stakeholders from government agencies and development partners to review progress under GALOP, share best practices, and align strategies aimed at improving learning outcomes in basic education across the country.
Participating institutions included the Ghana Education Service (GES), National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA), Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Community of Excellence, GEELAB, and the National Teaching Council (NTC).
The session featured detailed presentations and data-driven discussions on the achievements, challenges, and forward-looking initiatives within the GALOP framework, which seeks to strengthen quality and equity in education at the basic level.
In his remarks, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu reiterated the government’s firm commitment to transforming education through evidence-based reforms and effective partnerships.

“We remain dedicated to improving learning outcomes and ensuring that every child, regardless of location or background, has access to quality basic education,” he said. The Minister also commended the continued collaboration of all partners involved in Ghana’s education transformation agenda.
