David Beckham Marks 50th Birthday with UNICEF Fundraiser for Vulnerable Children

Global football icon David Beckham has celebrated his 50th birthday by launching a UNICEF fundraiser to support the world’s most vulnerable children. The former England captain, has once again turned attention to a cause close to his heart – supporting vulnerable children around the world through UNICEF.

David Robert Joseph Beckham was born on 2 May 1975 at Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone, London, England which makes him exactly 50 years!

In the weeks leading up to his milestone birthday, Beckham launched a fundraising appeal in partnership with UNICEF, urging the public to support children facing mounting risks due to a global funding crisis. The campaign aims to raise vital resources to protect children’s rights to education, health, and safety, particularly in regions affected by conflict, poverty, and displacement.

Beckham, who has served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for over two decades, expressed pride in the work he has done with the organization:

“Some of the moments I’m most proud of have been through my work with UNICEF – shining a light on the challenges facing children – boys and girls – around the world.”
