The Ghana Education Service (GES) has appointed counsellor and educationist Daniel Fenyi as the new Head of its Public Relations Unit, following the transfer of Mrs. Cassandra Twum Ampofo to the Eastern Regional Directorate.
Mr. Fenyi, a respected communications professional and education advocate, is expected to lead the GES’s communication strategy at a time when stakeholder engagement and public trust are critical to the service’s mission.
A published researcher and seasoned counsellor, Mr. Fenyi brings to the role a wealth of academic and professional experience. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed research articles and serves as a reviewer for three international academic journals. His appointment is seen as a strategic effort to improve how GES interacts with teachers, parents, students, and the public.
GES officials say his leadership will help ensure accurate and timely communication about key educational policies, reforms, and programmes.
“The appointment of Mr. Fenyi comes at a crucial time. We are confident that his communication expertise will support our efforts to build a responsive and transparent education service,” a GES statement said.
As head of PR, Mr. Fenyi will serve as the public face of the service, tasked with deepening engagement between GES and its stakeholders—ranging from education professionals to development partners and the media.
