Rev. Fr. Peter Kusi Twumasi, Rector of St. Stephen Catholic Rectorate, Bodomase in the Catholic Diocese of Konongo-Mampong has composed a touching tribute song in honour of the late Rev. Fr. Theophilus Agyemang Nyamekye, a revered priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi.
Titled “A Saint People Never Knew”, the song celebrates the life and quiet sainthood of Fr. Theophilus, whose ministry was marked by humility, deep spirituality, and unwavering commitment to pastoral care. The lyrics reflect on his gentle nature, his love for God, and his impact on countless lives through mentoring, prayer, and social work.
“Humble priest, heart of gold, Lover of God, stories untold, Saint in disguise, calm and kind God’s gift to us, leaving a legacy behind,” opens the moving tribute.
Rev. Fr. Theophilus is fondly remembered for his dedication to forming devotion groups like the Dominic Savio Society and for mentoring future religious vocations, including two priests and a religious sister, fruits of his spiritual guidance.
