The El Clásico was a thrilling match, with Barcelona thrashing Real Madrid 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Robert Lewandowski scored twice in three second-half minutes, setting Barcelona on their way to a convincing victory. Lamine Yamal and Raphinha also scored, adding to Madrid’s misery as they were left open at the back while pushing for a way back into the tie.
Robert Lewandowski, the 36-year-old striker, displayed his experience in the second half, as he beat the offside trap to break the deadlock and then netted a looping header three minutes later. Lamine Yamal scored Barcelona’s third goal, sealing the win for his team.
Raphinha provided an assist for Yamal’s goal and then scored Barcelona’s fourth goal, capping off an excellent performance.
Inigo Martínez was instrumental in Barcelona’s defensive success, keeping the defensive line perfectly to constantly catch Madrid offside. Lewandowski also scored in the 54th and 56th minutes. Kylian Mbappé had a disallowed goal in the 32nd minute.
Yamal also had a goal in the 77th minute, and Raphinha’s goal in the 84th minute helped Barcelona secure their success. The win has moved Barcelona six points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.
