Football fans were treated to an unforgettable night as Barcelona and Inter Milan battled to a thrilling 3–3 draw in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final. The match which was played at Barcelona’s temporary home ground at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys was full of drama, goals, and young talent shining bright. Inter Milan netted their first goal almost immediately the game started by kind curtesy fo Marcus Thuram. Just 20 minutes later, Denzel Dumfries added a stunning bicycle kick to make it 2–0 for Inter.
But Barcelona fought back quickly. Their teenage star, the 17 year old Lamine Yamal, danced through Inter’s defense to score and make it 2–1. Not long after, Ferran Torres finished off a team move to level the score at 2–2 before halftime. The second half brought more excitement. Dumfries scored again for Inter but Barcelona’s Raphinha replied with a powerful shot that hit the bar and bounced off the Inter goalkeeper which rolled into the net tying the game at 3–3.









The game ended with both teams sharing the points and everything still to play for in the second leg next week in Milan. Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal, made headlines not just for his goal but for breaking records. At just 17 years and 291 days, he has become the youngest player ever to score in a Champions League semi-final beating the previous record held by Kylian Mbappe. Football fans and legends has praised his performance with some comparing his confidence and skills to a young Lionel Messi.
The two teams will meet again in Milan for the second leg with both sides showing strong attacking power which fans can expect another exciting match.
