Playing for Barça’s Infantil B team, Diallo has netted an unprecedented 97 goals in just 30 matches during the 2023-24 season, setting a new benchmark in the academy’s storied history. Born on June 3, 2012, in Sabadell, Spain, Diallo’s football journey began with local clubs U.E. Sabadellenca, Sabadell, and Sant Cugat FC before he joined Barcelona’s youth ranks in 2019. His remarkable goal tally not only eclipses previous records held by notable La Masia graduates like Takefusa Kubo (73 goals), Lamine Yamal (68 goals), and Toni Fernández (61 goals) but also highlights his exceptional talent and dedication.
Standing at 1.78 meters, Diallo combines physical ability with technical finesse. Primarily a striker, but he is also adept on the wings as he showcase versatility that mirrors the playing styles of Ferran Torres and the legendary Samuel Eto’o. Football talent runs in Diallo’s family. His older brother Abdou Diallo, is part of Mallorca’s youth setup while his sister, Fatu, has achieved national recognition in athletics by finishing as the runner-up in Spain’s U-20 high jump championship. Their cousin, Balla Moussa is also making strides in football with RCD Espanyol’s youth team.
