Ashanti Regional GES to Launch High Schools’ Music Fiesta on June 4

The Ashanti Regional Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to officially launch the Ashanti High Schools’ Music Fiesta 2025 on Wednesday, 4th June 2025, at the JAK Auditorium of Prempeh College in Kumasi.

The event, which begins at 8:30am, is being organised under the theme:
“Music Without Borders: United in Harmony.”

Oheneba Owusu Afriyie IV (Apagyahene) will serve as Guest of Honour, with Hon. Eric Assibey, Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso, as Host Guest of Honour.

The Regional Directorate has extended invitations to all Senior High Schools, Senior High Technical Schools, and STEM schools in the Ashanti Region. Performing schools are required to attend with a team of 20 members, including the Head, Accountant, Patron, SRC President, and student performers. Observing schools are also expected to attend and submit both hard and soft copies of their school profiles at the venue.

Organisers say the Music Fiesta will serve as a platform to promote unity through music, foster inter-school collaboration, and provide an opportunity for talented students to showcase their creativity in a formal setting.

The event is being coordinated by William Kwame Amankra Appiah (Ed.D), the Ashanti Regional Director of Education, who has called for the full support and cooperation of all school heads.
