Asenso Boakye Told Us He Could Only Help Us with Ticket – Family of Pinamang Reveals

The family of Pinamang, the Adventist student in Kumasi who was shot by a fellow student, has reportedly opened up about their encounter with the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye.

According to sources, the family granted exclusive interview with online media outlet, GHPage. Pinamang’s brother, in that interview is reported to have addressed what he described as a widespread public perception – that the MP has covered all the medical costs following the tragic incident. He clarified that while Hon. Asenso Boakye did show concern and visited the hospital after the shooting, he did not promise to foot the entire bill.

“After he came to see us at the hospital, he paid the bills for that day and told us he would help with the travel ticket if it becomes necessary. But he made it clear he couldn’t take care of everything,” the brother said.

Over the last couple of days, the public seem to have shown sympathy and attention on the condition of the young lady and the burden the family continues to bear.

It would be recalled that popular Kumawood actor and football investor Yaw Dabo expressed similar concerns calling on influential figures to have their say in the matter when he paid the family a visit recently.
