As part of Career Technology curriculum, Asante Gyapong Roman Catholic Junior High School ‘B’ in Aboaso within the Kwabre East Municipality on Thursday, June 26 organised a practical cooking skills and beverage preparation session for its JHS 1 pupils.

Under the guidance of Career Technology teacher, Madam Marian Fremah Manu, students prepared a continental dish that included fried rice, grilled chicken, shito, and fresh salad, complemented by homemade fruit drinks. The objective was to equip learners with essential life skills while reinforcing classroom instruction with real-world application.

“These sessions provide hands-on experience and prepare our students not only for examinations, but also for independent living and potential career opportunities in hospitality and catering,” she said.
Pupils enthusiastically participated in the activity, expressing their excitement and gratitude for the experience. Many noted that learning to cook and prepare healthy drinks boosted their confidence and gave them practical skills they could apply at home.
