The press release contains the following details:

The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to remind candidates, teachers, heads of basic schools, directors of education, and the general public that the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) will start on Monday, 8th July 2024, and end on Monday, 15th July 2024, at all the designated 2,123 centers across the country.

Total Number of Candidates for 2024 BECE

Management wishes to congratulate all 569,095 candidates for their hard work and fortitude so far and to express its profound gratitude to all teachers, heads of basic schools, directors of education, parents/guardians, and all stakeholders for the crucial roles they have played in preparing the candidates for the examination.

Candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, teachers, and parents are advised to desist from any form of examination malpractice.

GES, WAEC, and the security services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all centers across the country.

Parents, candidates, and the general public are informed that the school selection process will commence after the BECE. Details of the selection process will be communicated in due course.
