The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has crowned Thomas Partey as the Footballer of the Year in Ghana.
The ceremony took place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in Accra.
The event was dedicated to honouring Ghanaian footballers (both male and female) who have demonstrated commitment at both the local and international levels. Thomas Partey, who plays as a midfielder for Arsenal FC, was one of the key honorees in the team.
The Ghanaian midfielder was recognised as one of the most promising players for the Ghana Black Stars, particularly for his performance in the 2026 World Cup Qualifier matches played so far.
Reports indicate that Thomas Partey has dedicated himself to supporting and helping unearth young Ghanaians with skills and passion for football through trial matches held in Ghana. This initiative serves as a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities for sponsorship and support.

In a brief address, Partey stated that the award is dedicated to his family, who have believed in and supported him throughout the years. He also expressed appreciation to his fans and supporters across the globe.
Partey further thanked the management of the Ghana Football Association for the honour and recognition.
