The Sekyere Kumawu District conducted a comprehensive monitoring exercise across all Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres in the district on Wednesday, 11th June, 2025. The visit formed part of efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the ongoing national examination and to motivate candidates during this crucial academic milestone.
The monitoring team was led by the District Director of Education and comprised the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Kwasi Amankwah, the District Coordinating Director, the Presiding Member, the District Police Commander, and other key district officials.
Sekyere Kumawu District is hosting a total of 1,440 candidates this year, consisting of 750 males and 690 females, across five examination centres.
During the visits, Hon. Kwasi Amankwah (DCE) interacted with candidates, invigilators, and supervisors. The team encouraged the students to approach the examinations with confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose.

The District Director of Education Mr. Kwame Oduro-Owusu emphasized the Directorate’s unwavering commitment to supporting quality education and ensuring that students are provided with the necessary environment and encouragement to thrive.
The delegation expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and well-organised nature of the examination process across all centres. Commendations were given to school authorities, examination officers, and security personnel for upholding professionalism and maintaining order.
They also took the opportunity to stress the importance of academic commitment as a foundation for personal and national development.
