The 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is scheduled to take place from Monday, May 4, 2026, to Monday, May 11, 2026. The examination will be written over six working days, from the start date to the following Monday.
Registration for the 2026 BECE will begin on Monday, December 1, 2025, and continue until February 2026. All candidates’ Continuous Assessment Scores (CASS) from Year 1 to Year 3 will be captured as part of the examination process.
The 2026 BECE registration is organized into four distinct phases, ensuring a smooth and structured registration process for all candidates.
All things being equal, the 2026 BECE has returned to its normal examination period, following disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020.
