Location of the Kumawu District Education Office

The District Education Office is located in Kumawu, the district capital of the Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti region of Ghana. Specifically, it can be found at the Kumawu Cemetery area, strategically positioned between the Ghana Ambulance Service and the Ghana Fire Service along the Kumawu-Effiduase road. This central location ensures that it is easily accessible to educators, students, and parents alike, facilitating a smooth flow of communication and resources within the district.

Senior High Schools in Sekyere Kumawu District

The Sekyere Kumawu Education Directorate oversees a total of six Senior High Schools, comprising four public and two private institutions. The public Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools include Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School (SHS), Bodomase Senior High Technical School (SHTS), Dadease Agric Senior High School (SHS), and Bankoman Senior High School. These schools are renowned for their core academic programs, skilled teaching staff, and comprehensive extracurricular activities, all of which contribute to a well-rounded education for students.

In addition to the public schools, the district boasts two private Senior High Schools: Dwenti College and Westphalian Senior High School.

Circuits and Basic Schools in Kumawu District

The Kumawu District Education Directorate is divided into five circuits: Kumawu Circuitt, Bodomase Circuit, Dadease Circuit, Besoro Circuit, and Banko Circuit. These circuits encompass over 70 basic schools, each dedicated to providing quality education from the foundational level. The Directorate ensures that these schools are well-equipped and staffed with qualified teachers, thereby laying a solid groundwork for students’ future academic pursuits.

The district has about 23 private basic schools, which are also dedicated to providing a quality teaching and learning environment for learners.
