Dr. Susan Oforiwaa Koduah Mourns And Lays To Rest Two Pillars In Her Family

Dr Susan Oforiwaa Koduah, popularly known as “ Dr. K “ an Assistant Professor at George Mason University School of Nursing, has made an indelible mark in academia and humanitarian work. As the founder and CEO of the Susan O. Koduah Foundation, her contributions to society have been transformative. The foundation focuses on empowering young girls by providing financial support for their education and offering critical healthcare assistance to individuals in dire financial and medical situations. Dr. Koduah’s compassion and dedication have changed countless lives, earning her immense respect and admiration globally.

Celebrating a Legacy of Love and Resilience

Despite her remarkable achievements, Dr. Susan Koduah is currently grieving the loss of two beloved family members which are Obaapanin Abena Agyei and Nana Kwasi Krapa, who were biological siblings of her father. Obaapanin Abena Agyei, aged 87, and Nana Kwasi Krapa, aged 78, were pillars of strength and wisdom in the family.

Dr. Koduah shared a unique bond with Obaapanin Abena Agyei, often finding comfort in her aunt’s presence during visits to Kumasi in Asante region, Ghana. The pain of their loss has deeply affected her, but she remains determined to honor their memory with dignity and love.

Funeral Arrangements

The final funeral rites for the late Obaapanin Abena Agyei and Nana Kwasi Krapa will be held on Saturday, 29th March 2025, at Kumawu-Besoro. The ceremony will bring together family, friends, and sympathizers to pay their last respects to these cherished individuals who left a lasting legacy. The deceased will be laid to rest with all due honor.

On Sunday, 30th March 2025, a Thanksgiving Service will take place at the Besoro Methodist Church to celebrate their lives and the impact they had on their community. Dr. Susan Koduah, fondly known as “Dr. K,” invites all friends, colleagues, and well wishers to join her and her family during this period of reflection and remembrance.
