Former NHL Player and Radio Host Shawn ‘Simmer’ Simpson Dies at 56

Former professional hockey player and well-known radio host, Shawn Simpson has passed away at the age of 56.

His sudden death has left colleagues, listeners, and the sports community in mourning.

Simpson, affectionately known as “Simmer,” was a beloved voice on Ottawa’s TSN 1200, where he captivated sports fans with his insights and personality. His passing was announced by TSN 1200 Sports Director Josh Rodenburg, who described the news as a “shock” to the radio family.
