A tragic accident occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Omama Shop in East Legon, Accra, resulting in the deaths of two women.
According to a report from Daily View GH, 16-year-old Erald Elisah Amoako, son of renowned Ghanaian clergyman Prophet Bishop Salisu Amoako, was involved in the collision. Bishop Salisu Amoako is the founder and leader of Alive Chapel International, located in Tabora, Accra.
The report indicates that Erald, who was reportedly driving his mother’s car, lost control of the vehicle while speeding. His car collided with another vehicle, which then crashed into a wooden electric pole, igniting a fire. Tragically, the fire engulfed the other vehicle, leading to the deaths of two women at the scene. The vehicle’s registration number could not be identified due to the extent of the damage.
Further investigation revealed that the 16-year-old did not possess a driver’s license, which, under Ghanaian law, he is too young to legally obtain. However, the law does not impose severe punitive sanctions on minors in such cases.

Erald is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital, while investigations into the accident continue.
